Already making its world premiere as the opening film at FrightFest 2012 next week in the UK, Paul Hyett’s claustrophobic thriller The Seasoning House has been included in a new festival and has some great new imagery to share. Check it out.

The Seasoning House will now be in competition at this year’s Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia in the Fantastic-Panorama section. The screening will mark the film’s international premiere, and writer/director Paul Hyett and key cast and crew will be attending.

Synopsis:
Written and directed by Paul Hyett (award-winning special makeup FX designer for The Woman in Black, Dog Soldiers, Doomsday, Attack the Block, Eden Lake, Centurion, and more) and starring Sean Pertwee (Equilibrium, Doomsday, Mutant Chronicles, Devil’s Playground, 4.3.2.1.), Rosie Day (Black Books, Fallen Angel, Harley Street), Anna Walton (Hellboy II – The Golden Army, 5 Days of War, Mutant Chronicles, Crusoe), Kevin Howarth (Gallowwalker, The Magnificent Eleven, The Last Horror Movie), and Jemma Powell (Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, The Symmetry of Love), The Seasoning House is produced by Michael Riley (Vampire Diary, Outlanders, Sugarhouse, Lava, In a Land of Plenty) of London-based Sterling Pictures.

The Seasoning House is a stylish, claustrophobic, nightmarish neo-horror about Angel, a young Balkan girl forced to work in a rape house during an unspecified war. After killing a militiaman, she goes on the run.

Check out the exclusive still and new artwork below, and for more visit the official The Seasoning House website, “like” The Seasoning House on Facebook, and follow The Seasoning House on Twitter (@seasoning_house).

Bruce is Back in Bitchin’ New Retro Poster for Eli Roth’s Death Wish Remake

Published

Bruce. Is. Back.

A few weeks back we shared with you guys the awesome retro grindhouse trailer for Eli Roth’s upcoming remake of Death Wish, starring Bruce Willis.

That trailer was a ton of fun so we wanted to make sure to also share with you the new retro grindhouse poster for the film as well.

You can check out the poster to the right and the grindhouse trailer below and then let us know what you think!

Personally, I’m digging the hell out of this new marketing strategy, but then again, I love me some Grindhouse cinema. And if we can’t have Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving, then I guess this flick will do, for now.

Death Wish is a remake of the Charles Bronson-led 1974 film of the same name, which itself was based on Brian Garfield’s original novel.

This film is directed by Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel) from a script written by Joe Carnahan (The Grey, Narc) and stars Bruce Willis, Vincent D’Onofrio, Dean Norris, Elisabeth Shue, Camila Morrone, and Kimberly Elise.

Bruce is Back March 2, 2018.

Synopsis:

Dr. Paul Kersey is a surgeon who often sees the consequences of the city’s violence in the emergency room. When home intruders brutally attack his wife and young daughter, Kersey becomes obsessed with delivering vigilante justice to the perpetrators. As the anonymous slayings grab the media’s attention, the public begins to wonder if the deadly avenger is a guardian angel — or the Grim Reaper itself.

Want a LEGO Godzilla Set? Here’s Your Chance!

Published

on

The longest-running franchises in cinema history, the Godzilla films have created a cultural icon in the form of the titular beast. Simply hearing its roar or seeing its silhouette is enough to let us know precisely what we’re looking at. Having ventured out of cinema and forayed into TV shows, comic books, video games, and countless merchandise options, Godzilla still hasn’t managed to break into one of the world’s most popular toy company: LEGO. However, that might change if BRICK_101 has their say via LEGO Ideas, where they submitted a design based on the 1954 original film!

Here’s the description from the site:
This model contains approximately 850 LEGO pieces, stands 9 inches (23 cm) tall, and measures 17 inches (44 cm) from head to tail. Godzilla has had many different designs over the years, but we based ours on the original 1954 movie. The arms, legs, jaw, and tail are hinged to allow the model to be posed in a variety of positions. In addition to Godzilla, the set also includes a small microscale train for Godzilla to stomp on or chomp on and a flame piece to represent Godzilla’s atomic breath.

The website allows people to submit their own ideas (such as this Call of Cthulhu set) and then allow the public to vote on whether or not they want to see it get made. Should the idea get 10,000 votes, it then gets moved up the ladder within LEGO’s headquarters and a decision is made to see if they want to make an official set.

So, if you want to see LEGO make an official Godzilla set, click on the link above and cast your vote!
