Floating Heads Prevail in Theatrical One-Sheet for After.life

Who needs a cool poster when you can have one showcasing floating heads in varying degrees of pensive fright? Yep, Anchor Bay's After.Life is the latest victim in the endless line of the artistic fad of the head fetish.

MTV nailed down the exclusive on the one-sheet which you can see by clicking on the teaser image below. Look for the film at theatres in a limited release on April 9th.

After a horrific car accident, Anna (Christina Ricci) wakes up to find the local funeral director Eliot Deacon (Liam Neeson) preparing her body for her funeral. Confused, terrified, and feeling still very much alive, Anna doesn’t believe she’s dead, despite the funeral director's reassurances that she is merely in transition to the afterlife. Eliot convinces her he has the ability to communicate with the dead and is the only one who can help her. Trapped inside the funeral home, with nobody to turn to except Eliot, Anna is forced to face her deepest fears and accept her own death. But Anna's grief-stricken boyfriend Paul (Justin Long) still can't shake the nagging suspicion that Eliot isn’t what he appears to be. As the funeral nears, Paul gets closer to unlocking the disturbing truth, but it could be too late; Anna may have already begun to cross over to the other side.

The concept doesn't sound bad... provided they avoid the 'she's not really dead' followed by the boy friend rescuing her happy ending.

Sighs... I remember when Christina Ricci was hot... of course that was before she lost the breasts.

Liam isn't a draw for me though he's got a great voice for narration. Justin Long doesn't impress either. He should stick to Die Hard.

Liam is always a draw for me. He's pulled in incredible performances in spite of being in crap like The Haunting and Star Wars Episode One.

Liam will always have a special place in my heart if only for his beyond hammy deliverance of the line "WHAT DOES HE THINK THIS IS SOME TYPE OF GAME?!?!?" from The Haunting remake. Hardest I've laughed in years.

man anchor bay suck at marketing. the movie had a cool poster but i guess the marketing geniuses wanted to make sure everyone knew who the stars were. hum. well guess what. i knew already and didn't need it shoved in my face. you had a great poster and now you've f'd it up. still gonna see the movie (it's gonna rock) but i suspect a lot of people won't based on the poster.
