Grimmfest 2012: First Three Films Announced; Early Bird Tickets Now On Sale

Post Thumb:

Grimmfest 2012 is taking place 4th-7th October in Manchester’s The Dancehouse theatre, and we’ve just been notified of the first three films to be announced. In addition, as of today, 31st July, early bird tickets are on sale.

From the Press Release:
We have a very limited allocation of early bird festival passes available at the incredible reduced price of £45.00 (+£2 booking fee)*. When they’re gone, they’re gone! Available at this price exclusively from the Grimmfest website for a short time only.

*The festival pass allows full access to every screening and event from Friday 5th–Sunday 7th October at The Dancehouse, Oxford Road, Manchester. Excludes the opening night gala on 4th October.

As for those three films they’ve announced, here’s the skinny:

  • Expect surprises, shocks and general strangeness as we celebrate the sinister sixtieth birthday of the macabre maestro himself, Mr. Clive Barker, with a special screening of NIGHTBREED: THE CABAL CUT.
  • Recently released nationwide in its home country to rave reviews, new Spanish horror comedy ATTACK OF THE WEREWOLVES is one of our favourite finds at this year’s Cannes film market. The film will get its English premiere at Grimm Up North. This is one funny movie.
  • We premiere a new HD version of Frank Henenlotter’s 1982 low budget cult classic BASKET CASE, due for release in late October 2012.
