Take a Look at a Horror Film from Brazil That’s Just One Minute Long

Post Thumb:

We try to bring you all types of unique short films, and Milagres certainly falls into that category. It’s only one minute long but manages to deliver plenty of creepy images and even some gore…check it out.

The film’s writer/director, Claudio Ellovitch, tells us he drew influences for Milagres (the English translation is Miracles) from European horror masters like Mario Bava and Dario Argento as well as psychedelic abstractions like Ken Russell’s Altered States. There is no dialogue in the film, but it does have a single written text that reads “Imagens Sacras – Escultor Cego.” Translation: “Sacred Statues – Blind Sculptor.” Keep that in mind while watching the film.

Scroll down and check out Milagres. What do you have to lose? It’s only a minute long!

I uploaded a new version of this short on youtube yesterday. It has more video and audio definition: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3eDGSXB4os
I also reworked one of the effects. Thanks for watching.

And we’ve added the new version to the above story!

Thank you Dr. Gash and Dread Central for this promotion of my short. You guys rock!
I’m working on something really great now: just as gory and disturbing as you like it. And with a decent budget this time. Hope to contact you with news later this year.

    Not bad for 1 minute.

This also reminds me that Altered States is finally available on blu ray. It’s a wonderful bit of existential horror so anyone who hasn’t seen it should grab that sucker asap.
