Tiffany vs. Megapiranha

In what absolutely positively has to be intentional stunt casting on the part of The Asylum, former teen pop princess Tiffany has been signed to star in their Megapiranha mockbuster. Tiffany's heyday was the late 1980's, and her biggest rival at the time was Debbie Gibson, who you may recall starred in The Asylum's Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. No way this casting is a coincidence.
Also announced for the film are Paul Logan, an Asylum regular, and Barry Williams, who I am assuming is the same Barry Williams most famous for playing Greg Brady on "The Brady Bunch". Megapiranha's kitsch value may have just doubled.
We also now have a plot synopsis:
"A mutant strain of giant ferocious piranha escape from the Amazon and eat their way toward Florida."
Escape from the Amazon? Was it like a jail break? Did they hijack a boat? Going from the Amazon straight to Florida, those are some very resourceful piranha. They're mutants; maybe they have built in GPS units? They're going to be fat fish if they ate their way to Florida from all the way down in South America.
Megapiranha escapes The Asylum and eats it way to DVD shelves on April 27th - about a week after Piranha 3D devours big screen audiences.
