Radio 66.6 - Weekly Music News from the Crypt: June 25, 2012We’re back with another installment of Radio 66.6! This week features the latest news, music, videos and tour dates from the likes of Queensryche, All That Remains, Children of Bodom, The Offspring, Every Time I Die, Gojira, The Chariot, Stone Temple Pilots and more. Queensryche have parted ways with vocalist Geoff Tate. Tate has since signed with InsideOut Music and is working on a solo album to be released in the fall.

All That Remains will release a new album entitled A War You Can Not Win in September via Razor & Tie/Prosthetic.

Children of Bodom have signed a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast Records. The Finnish metal band will release a new album in 2013.

Just Like Vinyl have signed to Superball Music. The band features Thomas Erak formerly of The Fall of Troy. Their new album is due out in the late summer.

Gallows new album will be released on September 11 via Bridge Nine Records.

Stream The Offspring‘s new album, Days Go By, here. The pop punk band’s ninth album is out this week via Columbia Records.

Stream Gojira‘s new album, L’Enfant Sauvage, here. The effort, whose title translates to The Wild Child, is out this week via Roadrunner Records.

Stream Glass Cloud‘s debut album, The Royal Thousand, here. The band features former members of Of Mice & Men, Sky Eats Airplane and The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza. The album comes out on July 10 via Equal Vision Records.

Listen to a new As I Lay Dying song entitled “Cauterize” here. The band’s new album, Awakened, is due out on September 25 via Metal Blade Records.

Watch a teaser for The Chariot‘s new album, One Wing, here. It will be released on August 28 via eOne Music/Good Fight Music.

Watch Knuckle Up!‘s music video for “Altered Beast” here. The hardcore band’s latest album, Motivation From Misery, is out now via Mediaskare Records.

Every Time I Die will be headlining a tour later this year with support from The Chariot, Letlive and Kills and Thrills. Dates will likely be announced after the Warped Tour.

The first annual Monster Energy Aftershock Festival will take place September 23 at Discovery Park in Sacramento, CA. The line-up features Stone Temple Pilots, Deftones, Bush, Chevelle, Hollywood Undead, Theory of a Deadman, Escape the Fate and more. Full details can be found here.

Rest in Peace: Dolores O’Riordan



Sad and shocking news has come in from the music world as Dolores O’Riordan, lead singer of The Cranberries, has been found dead at the all too young age of just 46.

According to the Associated Press, the singer’s publicist, Lindsey Holmes, confirmed she died in London, where she was recording. “No further details are available at this time,” Holmes said, adding that the singer’s family was “devastated” by the news.

London’s Metropolitan Police were summoned to a hotel just after 9:00 AM today. As of now her death is classified as “unexplained.”

During her career, O’Riordan provided music for the short film Z, Birdemic: Shock and Terror, Evilenko, and many more films and television projects. We here at Dread Central would like to take this time to extend our sincerest of condolences to Dolores’ family members, friends, and constituents.

A group of young men dare a classmate to reach the porch of a legendary house that is said to be haunted by the thirteen victims of a family massacre. In hopes of making a viral video, they arm him with a video camera to prove he was there or to capture him fleeing terror as others have.

When he doesn’t return, the guys must go in to get him. Inside the mansion they discover the truth about the family that died there, the fate of their friend, and what their own fates will be.
