More casting news is coming in for the latest redux of the classic television series “The Munters,” entitled “Mockingbird Lane.” Now that the family has been fully cast, it’s time to fill in the rest of the neighborly crew. Read on for the latest.
According to TVLine, Beth Grant (pictured; “Pushing Daisies,” “Wonderfalls”) will play the part of Maryanne, a 40-something wheelchair-bound woman who’s very suspicious of her creepy new neighbors.
The actress joins a cast that includes Portia DeRossi and Jerry O’Connell as Lily and Herman Munster, Eddie Izzard as Grandpa, Mason Cook as Eddie, and Charity Wakefield as Marilyn.
Written by Bryan Fuller and to be directed by Bryan Singer, “Mockingbird Lane” is described as a reinvention of the 1960s sitcom about “The Munsters”, a family of “monsters” — vampires, werewolves and Frankenstein — and their “plain” cousin that will feature striking visuals in the vein of Fuller’s ABC dramedy “Pushing Daisies”.
