Ambyr Childers Looking to Eat You in We Are What We AreA bit (or should we say bite?) of casting news is here for Jim Mickle’s upcoming remake of the bizarre tale of cannibalism We Are What We Are (review here), and we have to say if all cannibals looked like this, there’s be lots of people vying for a spot on the menu!

Ambyr Childers (pictured; Gangster Squad, Playback) is set to star in the rural psychological thriller We Are What We Are alongside Riley Keough, Julia Garner, Bill Sage, and Wyatt Russell.

We Are What We Are, picked up by eOne Entertainment this year in Berlin, is being directed by Stake Land‘s Jim Mickle and is based on the 2010 Mexican film and Cannes Film Festival entry Somo Lo Que Hay. Andrew D. Corkin and Nicholas Shumaker will produce.

Mickle will transpose Mexican director Jorge Michel Grau’s picture about a family of cannibals from its original setting of Mexico City to a poor part of the Catskills region in New York State.

Kevin D. Clark is a cartoonist from Scotland who grew up watching classic monster movies, cartoons and wrestling, as well as reading comics. Nesbitt, as well as his older brother.

Kevin was diagnosed with Aspergers and because of that, he tries to push himself to work as hard as possible. Kevin also has a self-published comic book and helps run a film club for autistic people. He has recently earned a degree in cartooning from the London Art College and he’s pretty sure that he could take an octopus in a fight.
