Demand Paranormal Activity in Your Area
Did the free midnight screenings of Paranormal Activity (review here) pass you by? Is it not playing close enough to you? Well, here's your chance to do something about it!
Paramount is listening, people. They need to know that you want the film to play in your area. If there's enough response, they will bring it. All you need to do is simply click on the image below and follow the prompts. It couldn't be more simple.
Synopsis
After a young, middle class couple (Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat) move into what seems like a typical suburban "starter" tract house, they become increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be somehow demonic but is certainly most active in the middle of the night. Especially when they sleep. Or try to.

Recall the stinker that was The Lost Boys: The Tribe (review here)? You remember -- the flick with the surfing vampires? (Again we ask: Why didn't the priest just bless the ocean?) No? You missed it? Do yourself a favor and keep it that way. Like it or not, Production Weekly has announced tonight that the next film in the franchise, now called Lost Boys 3: The Thirst, is just about ready to get under way from Warner Premiere.

Yeah, I guess that's how it works in Hollywood. I haven't seen anything but raving comments about the movie from around here so I have to believe that it really is that good and the fact that Paramount needs to take a nationwide poll in order to decide whether or not to put it in theatres seems ridiculous. Did they not learn anything from The Blair Witch Project?

I'm glad Dallas is in fourth. How many cities are they going to pick?

I'm pretty sure the details are still being worked out, but Paramount is really pulling out all the stops for Paranormal Activity -- I wouldn't be surprised to see it show up in just about every place that has a decent number of "demands" for it.

I have no facts to back this up, purely a guess, but i'd imagine it might be more of a situation where they release it in cities that get X number of people demanding it rather than releasing it in the top, say, 20 cities regardless of how much interest is generated.

I don't think this is gonna do any good for me in suburbia but it's simple enough. How do you get to be a studio executive without being able to tell the difference between a good and bad movie? Doesn't that come up in the interview process?

Interviews? Most Fathers/Uncles/Cousins/Frat Brothers don't need an interview to become a studio executive, they only need to know someone that already is one.

I demanded this for New York.
I hope this campaign works.
I've seen the movie ten times already I hope others get the chance to see it.

My vote for the Bay area (my home) is cast, since I missed the Boston screening.
This is the kind of thing fans should clamor behind; when a major studio ACTUALLY offers a user poll to decide if a movie gets played! This is almost unprecedented AND the first evidence that the "suits" don't have a clue what the audience wants to see, so they're finally asking us!
Cast your vote and have your voice heard people!
