At the end of Season 4 of HBO’s “True Blood”, the 1,006th character whom we have to try and keep track of was introduced. It was Scott Foley as Patrick, Terry’s (Todd Lowe) old war vet buddy. Not much was known of him, but TVLine got the scoop along with some images from the forthcoming season.
Foley tells the site: “Something happened between the two of them in Iraq that needs to be dealt with. I can’t say what it is. It has nothing to do with vampires or werelwolves. But there is a mission that they need to complete.”
Foley also stated that his character is indeed human and not at all supernatural. Stay tuned for more.
“True Blood” takes place in the not-too-distant future, when vampires have come out of the coffin, thanks to the invention of mass-produced synthetic blood that means they no longer need humans as a nutritional source. Alan Ball created and executive produces the show, based on the best-selling Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.
The 12-episode fifth season of “True Blood” will kick off Sunday, June 10th, at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT). For more in the meantime visit “True Blood” on HBO.com, or jump in on the Twitter conversations here using the hashtag #trueblood.
