Add another name to the ever growing list of actors in talks to sign on for active slaughter in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete Kills! This one is packing some serious heat, and we’re not talking about her guns either. Well, I guess that really depends on your definition of guns, but still…
Variety reports that Amber Heard is in talks to become the latest femme fatale to join the cast of Robert Rodriguez’s sequel which will be distributed by 20th Century Fox.
If signed, she’ll join the previously announced Mel Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Demian Bichir, and of course Danny Trejo.
Machete Kills finds the titular ex-federale (Danny Trejo) recruited by the U.S. government to stop a terrorist named Mendez the Madman, who happens to be Mexico’s leading cartel dealer. Mel Gibson is set to co-star as Luther Voz, a cunning arms dealer and death merchant who aims to spread war across the planet by launching a missile. Jessica Alba is also expected to return for the sequel, which will be distributed by 20th Century Fox.
