Scary Movie 5 Gets a Director! Excited? Anyone? Hello?

According to the Mayans the world is set to end this December despite the best efforts of one John Cusack. In light of this latest bit of news, we’re kind of okay with that. At least if the world implodes, we won’t have to sit through another Scary Movie sequel.
But of course that will never happen. Know why the Mayans stopped writing their calendars? Because they ran out of room. There’s just so much room on a friggin’ stone wheelm ya know? Besides that, would you wanna have to carve another of those? Talk about a pain in the ass.
In any event, yes, according to Entertainment Weekly, Malcolm Lee (Roll Bounce, Undercover Brother) will direct Scary Movie 5 with production slated to begin this summer. Casting is under way but David Zucker, who wrote and directed both Scary Movie 3 and 4, will also be returning to co-write and produce the fifth installment alongside Lee.
