Watch the Trailer for Uwe Boll's Rampage or He'll Kill You!
I can't help but get the feeling Uwe Boll needs a hug. He seems very angry and lately has been making movies that reflect that anger, that utter contempt for society, that deep down urge to destroy everyone and everything. He uncorked his rage in a serious manner with Seed and then comically so with Postal. His latest, Rampage, is shaping up to be the film that replaces The Basketball Diaries as the spree shooter movie manifesto.
Rampage is about a guy named Bill who grows fed up with his dead end existence and the world in general. Bill decides to vent his frustrations by stock-piling an arsenal of high-powered weaponry and constructing a full-body Kevlar suit of armor and going on a murderous rampage through the streets of his hometown, killing everyone in sight (I hear the film's body count crosses into triple digits), particularly the barista that failed to make him a proper macchiato.
Rampage will be premiering at Fantastic Fest, which runs September 24th-October 1st. Fantastic Fest has posted the first trailer for "Uwe Boll Angry Man Killfest 2009" AKA Rampage, and there's no denying that it looks worlds better than a lot of Boll's past offerings even though there's an unseemly vibe to the trailer that almost seems to be goading viewers to want to go Columbine. You can watch the trailer below and the film if you're in Austin, Texas in late September.
And if any of you see Uwe Boll on the streets, do give the man a hug and tell him everything is going to be okay.

Dread Central attended the premiere of Marcus Dunstan’s directorial debut The Collector (review here) at Hollywood & Highland last night, as well as the after-party held in the swanky Tropicana Bar at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, and brought back a slew of pics. We also chatted with Dunstan and his The Collector co-writer and longtime collaborator Patrick Melton regarding the film along with the many other genre projects they're attached to so read on.

Man, I thought this was gonna be another video game into a movie by Mr Boll. I would have watched it, giant gorilla and lizard climbing up and bashing buildings. That could have been fun.
