I haven't heard a peep about THING ON THE DOORSTEP. So many projects come and go, get announced then don't get financed. Hard to tell what the status is of DOORSTEP.

Whatever happened to THE THING ON THE DOORSTEP, which he was set to make for the resurrected Amicus studio?

Crazy - I'm just reading that book for the first time right now! It's dark and fascinating stuff. You can totally see its influence on Lovecraft's writings.
Don't know if it'll fit Gordon's campy style, but whatever he does, I'm sure it won't be boring! :)
Best,
David Schmidt

This doesn't have an official start date yet. Gordon has just agreed to direct and it's out to studios as a package with Gordon at the helm.
I loved STUCK.

Sounds cool. I had heard romantic comedy next (no joke!)
Gordon's busy this month directing "Nevermore...an Evening with Edgar Allan Poe," Jeffrey Combs' AMAZING one-man show here in Hollywood at the Steve Allen Theater. It runs through July and there's even a performance tonight for anyone who's in the area! :)
