Earlier this year we brought you the news of an incredibly talented Lego artist who had designed a diorama of the Shaun of the Dead zombie siege upon The Winchester pub. Well, we’ve got some interesting updates for you.

The Shaun of the Dead lego scene was designed by Yatkuu and you can get caught up on all the info in the previous Shaun of the Dead Lego story. Now for the update… Earlier this week Simon Pegg, of Shaun of the Dead fame, appeared on “The Conan O’Brien” show and shared some funny stories about how he tortures his Twitter followers. However, at the end of the interview (about the 3:30 mark on the video below), Pegg mentioned the potential release of the Shaun of the Dead Lego set, saying, “Go to Lego.com now and vote for Shaun of the Dead Lego if you want your children to play with plastic dead things.”

The fact is that if the Shaun of the Dead Lego display can garner 10,000 votes on Lego.com, the company will review the idea and potentially market the item. The Shaun of the Dead design currently has 8,140 votes (…let’s just make that 8,141…) and is nearly there! Come on, Dread Central readers; let’s push this project over the top and bring some zombie Lego action home!
