More on Ghostbusters 3 From Harold Ramis
It’s getting to be that you can’t log onto a movie website these days without catching a tiny update on Ghostbusters III. In fact, with the exception of Rob Zombie’s H2, is there any other movie featured as prominently on websites across the cyber landscape as the upcoming third go ‘round for everyone’s favorite ghost cops?
It feels like the summer of 1984 again with Ghostbusters mania in the air, and today Harold Ramis was on hand to discuss it further. Ramis informed Coming Soon that he penned the story for Ghostbusters III alongside scribes Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg.
"I wrote the story for the new movie with them, and Dan and I've been consulting. We're just waiting to see a first draft and where we are," Ramis said, although he's very optimistic it will happen with Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson returning as well. "Everyone says they'll do it, they've all said they'll do it. No one has signed anything yet--we haven't signed anything either--but there's the spirit of willingness in the air."
With the Blu-ray release of the first film and the long-awaited video game due in stores next week, it seems like there’s no better time to make another film. It definitely would be awesome to see the old gang suit up one more time.
