How far would you go to see the next great found footage movie? You may not have to go very far as there’s one coming to take us with it on a thrilling journey to the Ends of the Earth.
Brian Kavanaugh-Jones’ Automatik Entertainment has acquired worldwide rights to Ends of the Earth, a found footage action-thriller that will be co-directed by first-time feature helmers Derek Lee and Clif Prowse, reports Variety.
Plot details are being kept under wraps for now but the film will shoot all around Europe as it aims to blur the lines between documentary and narrative film.
Chris Ferguson and Zach Lipovsky are producing Ends of the Earth, which is backed by Telefilm Canada. Automatik swooped in to acquire the project after seeing a promo circulated by the filmmakers’ reps at Verve, which will handle domestic sales with Automatik. Alliance Films will distribute the pic in the U.K., Canada and Spain, while Stuart Ford’s IM Global will handle all other international territories.
