The great Jeremy Irons does one thing as good as anyone in the biz, if not better … he brings a sense of creepiness with him. Just his mere presence can cause a stir and we love him for it. That being said …

According to Variety Irons is in final negotiations to join the cast of Alcon’s Beautiful Creatures taking the role of a mysterious and reclusive uncle in the supernatural love story.

Jack O’Connell and Alice Englert play the lead roles along with Viola Davis, Emma Thompson, Emmy Rossum and Thomas Mann.

Erwin Stoff will produce along with Alcon co-toppers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson. Richard LaGravenese is directing from his adaptation of the novel of the same name – the first of a series written by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. Warner-based Alcon’s acquired rights to the series.

Beautiful Creatures begins shooting next month in and around New Orleans.
