Danny Huston Set to Clash as Poseidon
For my money, the best part of 30 Days of Night was vamp leader Marlow, portrayed by Danny Huston, even though he was sadly under-utilized. Hopefully Huston will get a little bit more screen in his upcoming role as Poseidon in the Clash of the Titans remake.
THR reports that Huston's god of the sea is joining other Mount Olympus power players Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes in the retelling of the Perseus myth, directed by Louis Leterrier, which began shooting Monday outside London. Sam Worthington, Mads Mikkelsen, Gemma Arterton, Jason Flemyng, and Alexa Davalos also are in the cast.
If you're a little rusty in the Greek mythology department, the storyline revolves around Perseus and his journey to save the Princess Andromeda, during which he must complete various tasks set out by Zeus, including capturing Pegasus and slaying Medusa.
