HBO’s WATCHMEN Averaging 7 Million Viewers Per Episode

Looks like a sh*tload of people are watching HBO’s Watchmen. In fact, today we’re hearing via Variety that HBO says it’s their most popular new series of 2019 and its seven episodes so far, have drawn an average of 7.1 million viewers across HBO’s channels and streaming platforms.

Nice!

And that’s not all, folks. Not only does HBO say Watchmen is their most popular new series of 2019, but they also say it’s their most-watched new series since something called Big Little Lies with Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, and Meryl Streep.

HBO says the series’ first episode alone snagged a total of 9.6 million viewers.

As I went to great lengths to mention in my recent article PSA: You Should Be Watching the Watchmen I’m one of the peeps watching and loving the series. It really is the best show of 2019.

HBO’s Watchmen was created by Damon Lindelof based on the masterpiece comic by Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons. Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross provide the score. Lindelof, Tom Spezialy, Nicole Kassell, Stephen Williams, and Joseph E. Iberti are executive producers while Karen Wacker and John Blair produce. White Rabbit, Paramount Television, Warner Bros. Television, and DC Entertainment are the companies behind the series which premiered on HBO In October.

The season finale hits HBO on December 15, 2019.
