With each passing day the chances of a third Hellboy film get slimmer and slimmer. Even Big Red himself is beginning to lose faith. Read on for the latest.

Ron Perlman was recently interviewed at a press conference for Festival International du Film Fantastique de Gérardmer 2012, where the actor had the following to say about the long talked about Hellboy 3:

“If I had to bet, I would bet there will be no Hellboy 3… It would be a great shame if we never did it… It’s kind of like Dorothy in ‘The Wizard Of Oz'; we close our eyes and click our heels [in the hopes it will come together].”

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

Too bad, though to be honest I wasn’t especially enamored of either of the first two. They were good, but I wasn’t as blown away by then as some other folks were.

I loved the first. The 2nd seemed a little less inspired. Odd considering Del Toro supposedly had more creative freedom the 2nd time around.

Interesting. I felt just the opposite. The first was fun. I enjoy it, and I own it. But it drags a bit in places, the villain is kind of lame, and the climax feels particularly wooden. On the other hand, I adore every minute of the second movie.
