The Oxford Murders has been out there a while with nary an update done for it, the last one we had from the beginning of the year (“First Oxford Murders Pics” – March 2007). Likely they’ve been trying to get their proverbial ducks in a row before releasing any info.
The Oxford Murders, in case you had forgot, tells of a student (Elijah Wood) who assists his professor (John Hurt) in attempting to stop a string of serial killings that are linked by strange mathematical symbols. Most notably, though, it marks the English-language debut of Day of the Beast director Alex de la Iglesia, one of the coolest mothers out there today.
IMP Awards got their hands on the poster you see to your right, though how I’m not sure how since websites don’t have hands. The Oxford Murders has no official release date here in the states yet; ironically it looks like it’ll open in Iglesia’s home country of Spain before it does here. We’ll have more for you as soon as distributor THINKfilm decides what they’re doing with it here in the US!
