Even though Ridley Scott’s Prometheus is still a long way off, that hasn’t stopped the director from thinking about the future of the futuristic prequel to a film that took place in the future. Okay, now my head hurts …
In speaking to EW, Scott reveals that he’s “thinking about what the hell [he] might do for a ‘Prometheus 2.'”. How in the world this can be considered “news” is anyone’s guess, but it’s spreading on the Net like wildfire so whatever.
Prometheus, starring Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Patrick Wilson, Logan Marshall-Green, and Ben Foster, will be in theaters on June 8th, 2012.
Ridley Scott, director of ‘Alien’ and ‘Blade Runner,’ returns to the genre he helped define. With ‘Prometheus’ he creates a groundbreaking mythology in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
