Synopsis
Famed explorer Dr. Emmet Cole (Greenwood) went looking for magic deep in the uncharted Amazon and never returned. The shocking truth about his disappearance is out there, somewhere, just waiting to be discovered. To the millions of kids who grew up watching his nature show, Dr. Cole was a hero. To his own son, Lincoln (Anderson), he was more of an enigma. Now, six months after he vanished, Lincoln is finally ready to bury the past when Dr. Cole’s emergency beacon suddenly goes off. At the urging of his mother, Tess (Hope), Lincoln reluctantly joins her on a search for his father. To fund the rescue, they agree to let Dr. Cole’s cagey ex-producer, Clark (Paul Blackthorne), film the mission documentary-style. The mixed crew of old friends and new acquaintances includes the sexy and resourceful Lena (Eloise Mumford), loyal mechanic Emilio (Daniel Zacapa), and lethal bodyguard Captain Kurt Brynildson (Kretschmann).

Published

on

Get ready to fight dirty as the two-fisted, ultraviolent grindhouse classic The Sword and the Claw is poised to hose down your home video collection with geysers of arterial spray! Coming to us from Alamo Drafthouse’s American Genre Film Archive on January 23, 2018, this is one title you’re not gonna wanna miss!

We’ve been obsessed with Turkish genre films for decades,” said AGFA director Joe Ziemba. “We were blown away to discover that we had the only known 35mm print in existence for this movie, which also happens to be Turkey’s most insane battle epic. This is the first 4K preservation of a Turkish genre film in history. We couldn’t be happier to share it with the world.

Special features include a new 4K scan from the only surviving 35mm theatrical print, face-smashing action trailers from the AGFA vault, and bonus movie Brawl Busters, which features a new 2K scan from an original theatrical print.

The eye candy doesn’t stop there either! This bad boy is coming with some neat reversible cover art with illustration by Alexis Ziritt (Space Riders)!

Synopsis:
They took his money. They took his family. And now, they’ve taken his hands. But they can never take his revenge! Exploding from the same hallucinogenic netherworld as TURKISH STAR WARS, THE SWORD AND THE CLAW stars Turkish genre legend Cüneyt Arkin in his most iconic role. It’s CONAN THE BARBARIAN meets The Three Stooges meets DOLEMITE with more lo-fi bloodshed, pop-art visuals, and bizarro dubbing than the boundaries of reality can handle. This is the movie that Kung-Fu Express described as the “Dirtiest fighting ever!”
