Burrowers Webisodes Confirmed

A prequel for little old me?Man, Fearnet must be doing pretty damn good with their webisode series they’ve been churning out recently, cause they just keep piling on more.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news (“Burrowing Into Fearnet”) that a web series is in the works to serve as a prequel to JT (S&Man, Mimic: Sentinel) Petty’s upcoming underground monster movie The Burrowers. The 3-5 minute episodes will tell of a family trying to survive the wilderness after they release an evil force via infected deer meat (?), which I’m sure will make a lot more sense when we see it.

Fearnet also has plans for a live blog hosted by Petty detailing the making of the film, both of which will debut in December on the video on demand channel. And can I just say how happy I am that Fearnet came out of the gate swinging and have demonstrated a real set of testicles when it comes to giving horror fans what they want? A breath of fresh air if you ask me.

The Burrowers will be out in early 2008 via Lionsgate, one of the companies behind content providers behind Fearnet; keep it here for more on both movie and series very soon!
