Superbeasto Theatrical?

Yesterday we got a heads-up from a reader with some potentially good news regarding The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, the animated film being made by the guys behind “Ren & Stimpy” based on the comic by Rob Zombie.
One of the guys over at Cartoon Brew managed to catch some pre-production art for the flick, and said it looks fantastic, though that’s evident already over at El Superbeasto’s official site. No, the good news is that, though originally planned as a direct-to-video release, it’s looking so good that IDT might actually try for something theatrical when it’s all said and done.
Of course, this is all hearsay and conjecture, but so far everything that’s been said from those who have managed to see even a piece of the film is that it looks fantastic. A stellar voice cast that includes Paul Giamatti certainly can’t hurt its chances for theatrical either. We’re keeping our ears open for more, but in the meantime be sure to hit the official site link above for tons and tons of cool stuff from the movie!
