Mum & Dad director Steven Sheil is back with a new horror flick which happens to be the first theatrical movie production for HBO Asia, and we’ve got all the details and even a still for you from Dead Mine right here on this Christmas Eve Eve! Dig it!
The English-language action-horror picture directed and co-written by the UK’s Sheil stars cult Japanese actress-turned-action star Mizuno Miki along with British actors Sam Hazeldine and Les Loveday and Malaysian actress Carmen Soo.
The story involves a rich amateur treasure hunter and his expert group deep into the Indonesian jungle on the hunt for Yamashita’s Gold. Once they find themselves trapped in what is seemingly an abandoned WWII Japanese bunker, they face the terrifying reality that the only way out is further in.
No word on a domestic release just yet, but we’ll keep on listening!
