Did you have to clean off the monitor and have a cigarette afterwards because that trailer was PURE BALLS-DEEP CINEMATIC SEX!

I’m blown away on how awesome that was.

Looks good so far, I can’t wait for June.

Okay, so it IS a prequel to Alien. They can talk that “DNA of the film” crap all they want, but I recognize that curved, horseshoe shaped ship that’s crashing near the end of the trailer. Anyone who has watched Alien about a thousand times (which is to say pretty much anyone frequenting DC) recognizes it. If we’re seeing how the ship got to where it was when the Nostromo happened upon it, then yeah, this is a prequel. What I’m wondering is if anyone else felt a shot of adrenaline rip through them when that quick flash of the Space Jockey’s chair rising out of the floor appeared.

Fuck yeah. I’m on this like a debutante on caviar come June.

Count one for the shot of adrenaline; as jaded as I am, I still got a rush seeing that. I just hope the rest of the movie is good.

This is a very good trailer and suggests a great film. Mind you, Pandorum had a better first trailer and was a little disappointing. Also, one of the writers on this is a guy who contributed to the incoherent idiocy that was ‘Lost’.

    My expectations are still low.
