As 2011 winds down, it’s time to start planning your horror convention calendar for 2012, and we’ve got a great one for you to start with. The Mad Monster Party will be held on March 23-25 in Charlotte, North Carolina. A huge list of celebrities is scheduled to attend, and in the most recent announcement festival organizers report that Rutger Hauer will be on hand to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Blade Runner!
Hauer will be participating in a Blade Runner panel as well as a Q&A and will be available for signings. Along with Hauer there are over dozens of additional horrific celebrities scheduled to attend.

Join the Mad Monster Party horror convention and meet Rutger Hauer, star of Blade Runner, The Hitcher, Hobo With a Shotgun, Ladyhawke and Batman Begins at the Blake Hotel in Charlotte, NC. March 23rd-25th, 2012! Celebrate the 30th Anniversary Blade Runner reunion and attend a panel and Q&A with Rutger Hauer and his co-stars Joe Turkel and James Hong! Veteran actor Rutger Hauer has worked with Hollywood heavyweights Sidney Poitier, Ridley Scott, Sylvester Stallone and Nicholas Roeg and made his mark playing complicated villains and antiheroes. Hauer is traveling from the Netherlands to attend the Mad Monster Party, where the star will meet and greet fans, answer questions about his unforgettable movie roles and sign autographs. Mr. Hauer will be promoting his international AIDS awareness foundation, The Rutger Hauer Starfish Association, and proceeds from autograph sales and photo ops will benefit this worthy charity.

Mad Monster Party will also bring rare first-time celebrity guests that fans have demanded for years. Craig Sheffer (Nightbreed) and Judith Roberts (Eraserhead, Dead Silence) make their debut con appearances and Frankenhooker’s Patty Mullen will appear in her iconic character makeup!
