I’ve done so many stories about Worst Case Scenario, the Nazi zombie movie that never was, that sometimes I wonder if it’s all in my head. What if this is really an idea that I have but can’t vocalize myself, so I make it sound like it’s from somewhere in Holland?
Yeah that’s too weird.
Our Netherlandic reader Tump gave us the heads up on the latest update on WCS came a few weeks back with some good news (finally); seems the team behind the movie have finally gotten some financing in place via Richard Claus who, among other projects, has produced Mute Witness and An American Werewolf in Paris, which we can forgive him for. The budget has been lowered to 3 million Euro (roughly $4 million US), and because of that there’s a budgetary gap they need to fill in.
That’s where you come in…
Check out the site for Gorehound, Inc. for the details on how you, too, can invest in making Worst Case Scenario a reality; just click into the “news” section for the latest word on the film. Though usually I can’t get behind filmmakers asking (potential) fans for money, this one’s been out there long enough that it really does need to get made, and if your $20 can make sure it happens, so be it.
Not sure what the hell I’m talking about? Check out the demo reel in our Broadband section and you’ll see why this is something we all need to see … now!
Wonder what the world will be like when this is finally made in the Dread Central forums!
