Two New Trailers from Zombies from Outer Space

Post Thumb:

It’s been a while since last we talked about Zombies from Outer Space, but lo and behold two new trailers for this undead alien mash-up have made their way online, and as per usual we have ’em for you right here.

This German flick from director Martin Faltermeier has all the flavor and wackiness of similar vintage films from the Fifties and Sixties as well as some badass looking creatures to go along with that classic feel.

For more check out the official Zombies from Outer Space website here! Thanks to Avery for the heads-up!

Bavaria in the late Fifties. The life of Maria, a young girl, is changed abruptly when she finds the body of a woman. The scientist Dr. Robert Hölzlein and the American lieutenant John Welles, stationed in Bavaria, were commissioned to solve the obvious murder case. But trouble seems preassigned as both are interested in beautiful Maria.

From now on horrible finds of dead women increase in the neighbourhood as well as mysterious sightings of unidentified flying objects. Fear and mistrust grow among the inhabitants.

While inspecting a crop circle, the lieutenant finds a dead alien; the scientist comes to a terrible conclusion during an autopsy. Too late he discovers the connection between the found corpses and the unexplainable UFO visitations. Before he can alert the population, the undead aliens raise their tombs underneath the crop circles to destroy humanity.

Will the two rivals, Robert and John, realize in time that only together do they have a chance?!?

Scream Factory Opens the Gate 2

There are few films more beloved around DCHQ than Tibor Takacs’ 1987 monster-filled classic, The Gate. It’s top to bottom fun featuring stop-motion beasties and a cute-as-a-button young Stephen Dorff and that’s only a couple of reasons why the flick just rules.

Scream Factory, (bless their hearts) just announced that it’s sequel, Gate II, will finally be getting a Blu-ray release and we have your details and artwork right here.

Look for the flick starring original Gate star Louis Tripp on February 27, 2018.

This supercharged sequel to the horror classic The Gate comes alive with unearthly creatures, heart-stopping action and incredible special effects. Gate II picks up again with Terry, the teenage sorcerer who summons beings from the other side whose powers can be used to grant any wish. Unfortunately, before the Gate closes again, a “minion” – a tiny disciple of Satan himself – manages to slip through to our dimension. When the creature is kidnapped – all hell breaks loose.

Special Features:

  • NEW 2K scan of the interpositive
  • NEW Return to the Nightmare – A Look Back at GATE II – featuring interviews with director Tibor Takacs, screenwriter Michael Nankin and special visual effects creator Randall William Cook
  • NEW From the Depths – an interview with make-up effects artist Craig Reardon
  • Theatrical Trailer
  • Video Promo and Video Store Contest promo
  • Still Gallery
