Universal Looking to Introduce Us to the Paranormalists

Stop us if you’ve already heard this one … a group of kids head into a supposedly haunted location to investigate when they find out that said location is actually the real deal. Cue screaming and running. Sound familiar? Ya think?

In any event, according to Bloody Disgusting Gulliver’s Travels, Monsters vs Aliens and Shark Tale director Rob Letterman is getting behind the camera for Universal Pictures’ new supernatural horror, Paranormalists.

Syfy is producing the project that’s “loosely based on” their hit show “Ghost Hunters.” It’s a found footage project that’s said to follow a group of stoner kids that claim to rid haunted houses of ghosts and poltergeists, only they’re just ripping off a slew of gullible individuals. In an obvious turn of events, they end up in a house that’s actually haunted.

Didn’t we already kind of/sort of see this with Grave Encounters earlier in the year?
