The folks behind the production of Ed Douglas’ The Dead Matter, which we just updated you on over the weekend (“Dead Matter Update!” – August 2007) have sent along a pair of exclusive pics from behind the scenes of the film, just for Dread Central readers!
The first you see is director Douglas (of Midnight Syndicate fame) holding the severed head of a character named Ray, who apparently does not get to end his life in one piece. Shame, really. The other is one of the first zombie pics from the movie, actor Mark Rakocy showing how truly lonely it is to be a member of the walking dead.
Effects were done by Robert Kurtzman’s Precinct 13, you may recall, which explains why they look so damn good for a low-budget production. Shooting continues on The Dead Matter for the next few weeks, so be sure to keep an eye out for even more updates as we get ‘em, and check out some behind-the-scenes Dead Matter goodies in our Broadband section!
Carry as many heads as you can over to the Dread Central forums!
