Here Comes the Devil Along with Some Evil Kids!

The Devil is still a hot commodity at the box office, and as a result flicks with his influence come at a nice steady pace. We’ve got the first word on the next to arrive, Here Comes the Devil.

MPI Media Group has announced that it will co-produce with Salto de Fe Films HERE COMES THE DEVIL, a thriller to be directed by Adrian Garcia Bogliano, creator of the international horror sensations Penumbra and Cold Sweat.
Casting in under way on the movie, which will center on a couple’s children who go missing in the caves of Tijuana. Shooting will take place at locations in the Mexican city and its environs, including ominous caves that figure prominently in the story.
HERE COMES THE DEVIL is the first full-length feature from Salto de Fe Films, filmmaker Adrian Garcia Bogliano’s new production company based in Mexico City. In addition to the recent Penumbra and Cold Sweat, Garcia Bogliano’s many films include such independent genre achievements as Rooms for Tourists, 36 Steps, Watch ’em Die and The Accursed.
With HERE COMES THE DEVIL he moves into a supernatural realm: A married couple lose their children while on a family trip near some caves in Tijuana. The kids eventually reappear without explanation, but it becomes clear that they are not who they used to be, that something terrifying has changed them.
Adrian Garcia Bogliano said: “Salto de Fe Films is committed to creating horror films in and about Latin America, and we couldn’t ask for better partners than MPI and Dark Sky, which have been behind so many great thrillers.”

The Spanish-language movie marks another bold move for MPI and Dark Sky, which have evolved into leading forces in independent production, most recently creating The Innkeepers, Stake Land, Hatchet II and the upcoming Frankenstein’s Army.
