Trifecta of Genius Artwork

Click to see it bigger! The folks over at Genius Entertainment just passed a long a trio of artwork for some of their upcoming genre releases and instead of hording them to ourselves like we usually do, I thought we should share. We’re just good like that.

Fist up, September 18th will see the release of Final Draft, in which James Van Der Beek (Varsity Blues, Rules of Attraction) become a hobo clown to make money. No, that’s not true. It’s actually a character study about a screenwriter who just can’t get his latest script finished. To combat his writer’s block he holes himself up in his apartment for 18 days in order to make the deadline, which could make or break his career. Unfortunately he’s using the old “write what you know” adage, and as his cabin fever gets worse and worse, his past comes back to haunt him in increasingly terrifying ways.

Click to see it bigger! The following week, September 25th, the Swedish answer to 30 Days of Night, Frostbitten (review) hits DVD. For those unfamiliar it’s about a young girl whose physician mom moves them to a small town in Sweden to work at the local hospital. All goes well until a month of darkness starts to settle in, and some very bloody secrets make themselves known.

Click to see it bigger! Finally, on October 9th we’ll be seeing Hallowed Ground, which we last told you about just under a month ago (“Hallowed Grounds Sprouts a DVD” – July 2007). Back then we had to point you elsewhere for the box art; now we have it to ourselves (cue maniacal laughter)! Of course you still have to click it to check it out, but you’re all right with that, I’m sure. By the way that’s Walter Phelan, aka Dr. Satan, as the scarecrow on the cover. Nice!
