Telekinetic Push Ready to Roll

The concept for the new thriller Push, which was officially announced via the trades this morning, is what I have always pictured a sequel to Stephen King’s Firestarter to sound like.
Push centers around a group of people with telekinetic and clairvoyant abilities who are hiding out from a US agency in Hong Kong and have to join up in order to escape control of the division. Man, I don’t care how tough you think you are, why the hell would go up against someone with telekinesis for Christ’s sake?
Dakota Fanning (pictured), Chris Evans, Camilla Belle and Djimon Hounsou are all set to star in the “thriller”, which will be helmed by Lucky Number Slevin helmer Paul McGuigan. Cameras roll in Hong Kong next month for an expected release in 2008.
So am I wrong? Can you not see Charlie being among those in hiding from The Shop and having to fight back at them yet again? We’ll likely have more for you soon so keep it here!
