AFM 2011: The Ghostmaker: New Behind-The-Scenes Stills

A few days after debuting the new teaser art for The Ghostmaker (formerly Box of Shadows), the powers-that-be sent us over a bunch of behind-the-scene imagery for you guys to check out. Dig it!

The wait is finally over. With 300 visual effects now completed for THE GHOSTMAKER (formerly BOX OF SHADOWS), the movie is going to be unveiled at the American Film Market courtesy of Spotlight Pictures.

“Spotlight is a great fit for us,” said director Mauro Boirrelli. “They are loaded with incredible enthusiasm for what we created and have a really good understanding of how to market the picture to the world at large. Just look at the new poster they put together to launch their marketing campaign. It completely captures the spirit of the movie, and we’re totally thrilled to have them onboard.”

“From the first scene of THE GHOSTMAKER, I was hooked,” said Scott Bedno, President of International at Spotlight Pictures. “Mauro and Ed had a vision for the film and executed it perfectly. I can’t wait to introduce the film to my buyers at AFM.”

Borrelli is also well known for his concept work on films such as THE ADVENTURES OF BARON MUNCHAUSEN, THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW, BRAM STOKER’S DRACULA, THE WOLFMAN, and CAPTAIN AMERICA.

“When we started production on THE GHOSTMAKER,” producer Ed Polgardy added, “we didn’t realize how quickly the movie would take on a life of its own and grow from a little genre picture into a visual smorgasbord. The strong visual concepts in the movie just inspired us to push even harder to give the movie the look and feel of a bigger budgeted picture. And we’re really, really ecstatic about the final result.”

The producing team for THE GHOSTMAKER includes Polgardy (LAID TO REST, DARK HOUSE), film festival veteran Scott Rudolph, Alfredo Gilardini, Gabriella Stollenwerck (DEAD END, BIG NOTHING), and Domiziano Arcangeli (BLACK DEMONS, H1N1: VIRUS X).

A revamped trailer for the movie is about to debut on the Spotlight Pictures website just before the American Film Market begins.

“We’ll let everyone know when the trailer goes up online,” Borrelli continued. “We’re really looking forward to showing everybody what we’ve been up to.”
