You might recall a few weeks back when a new horror film from Waxwork/Full Eclipse badass director Anthony Hickox was announced called Knife Edge (“Hickox Takes Horror to the Edge” – July 2007). At the time the plot was a bit on the vague side, but upon some deeper investigation we dug up a juicy amount of details for it.
First off, to the right is some teaser art that will likely not be anywhere close to the final product, but it’s something pretty to look at, right? According to distributor Seven Arts Pictures official site, the story revolves around blissfully happy woman named Emma, who agrees to give up her city life to move with her husband and six-year old son, Thomas, out to the Irish countryside.
Her husband has already picked out their new home; a sprawling mansion miles from anything; a place he admits he felt compelled to buy. As blissful happiness generally leads to sex, she soon finds herself pregnant again, which only increases her level of joy. But something is wrong…
She feels like everything in the house is drawing her towards a dead tree in the middle of the woods on the grounds of the estate, a tree that stands out from the rest. As she begins to experience more and more terrifying things at home, she becomes convinced that the answer to the mansion’s secrets lies in the woods. But can she save herself and her family in time?
Knife Edge is in production as we speak, so expect more soon!
