I get why studios often release character posters, and to the whole slew of Hunger Games fanatics out there, it’s probably pretty fun to see these characters begin to take shape for the first time outside of their imaginations. But eight posters have been released today – each of them specific to a character from the forthcoming The Hunger Games film – and unless you’re already a convert, these are a whopping bore.

IGN broke the first glimpse of Woody Harrelson as Haymitch. You can dig it and seven other brand new one-sheets below. Various websites released these suckers – but we’ve got them all for you to enjoy right here.

Set in post-apocalyptic America, the movie will introduce heroine Katniss Everdeen, a self-sufficient 16-year-old who lives in District 12, one of the poorer districts in the nation of Panem, what used to be known as North America before its utter destruction several years earlier. Katniss becomes a participant in the Hunger Games, an annual televised tournament where one boy and one girl from each of the nation’s twelve districts must fight to the death until only one competitor, or “tribute,” is left standing.

  1. Yeah you’ve hit the nail on the head.
I’ve never read the books and this doesn’t tell me anything about the characters or story.
They really need to do better promotion if they want people who haven’t read them to go see this.
