For most people Christmas is their favorite time of the year, but for the horror crowd it’s definitely Halloween as that’s when we’re inundated with all manner of goodies and treats geared specifically toward us. And, best of all, we get to share them with our readers! Case in point: today’s debut of Karl Holt’s Negative Image, winner of Best Short Film at the 2011 Shriekfest film festival.
Negative Image tells the story of a paranormal journalist who is determined to capture an entity on film in order to regain the front page of his magazine. It’s a production of Darkline Entertainment, which Holt describes as follows:
“Darkline Entertainment was set up way back when I was 16. It’s aim was to be a big production studio making feature films. Well, 20-odd years on, and it’s now the name I use to conduct all my freelance business and also an umbrella for my short films made with a small but talented crew. Hopefully one day I’ll have the funds to make a feature.”
