Anyone looking to pick up a PS3 at launch has another horror-themed title to look forward to. Vivendi today confirmed that Day One Studios, the people behind the Xbox 360 port of F.E.A.R., is also working on a PS3 version of the title which should hit with the console in mid-November (with the 360 version due around the same time).
F.E.A.R. was a bit of a favourite of mine on the PC last year, so we’ll be keeping an eye on the PS3 to see if it does the game justice.
Vivendi is also promising some exclusive features, though whether PS3 will get the same bonus content the 360 version is getting and then some, or just different bonuses, has yet to be confirmed. Either way, it’s another potential hit nestled into the PS3 launch, and it gives people that missed out on the game on the PC another option should they want to check it out.
Gamespot has a few screens, which don’t look as nice as the recent PC or 360 screens, but being as how F.E.A.R. will be a launch title, the game may yet see a big improvement in visuals.
