Crackle Launches Crackle, Sony Pictures Entertainment’s multi-platform video entertainment network, has launched a deadly collection of horror films entitled “Kill Count”. “Kill Count” features a select group of 30 of the most stomach-turning, blood-dripping, gut-spilling horror films available anywhere that catalogue the most outrageous death moments — from impalements to truck sandwiches.

From the Press Release:
For thirteen days, beginning Wednesday, October 19th, through Monday, October 31st, users will be able to watch, rate, and discuss their favorite kills on Crackle. “Kill Count” boasts more than 300 kills in its collection including, but not limited to, 35 vicious stabbings, 12 decapitations, 8 defenestrations, 7 zombie face slashings, 4 vehicular murders, and 2 spontaneous combustions … all for 1 bloody good time.

“Crackle is excited to feature another unique program for our viewers just in time for Halloween,” said Lisa Dubbe-Herbert, Vice President, Programming for Crackle. “With such gruesome offerings as Silent Hill and Vacancy, our audience will be screaming for more.”

“Our hope is that ‘Kill Count’ will not only excite our current fans but will also intrigue new audiences to come experience Crackle,” said Mark Cregar, Vice President, Marketing for Crackle. “‘Kill Count’ will feature more kills than any other Halloween collection, and we are excited to get audiences counting.”

Crackle will also allow users to interact with the “Kill Count” collection via Facebook through an online sweepstakes — “13 Severed Heads in 13 Days.” Each day during the sweepstakes period, users will be asked to answer a trivia question about a given “Kill Count” movie. Thirteen films featuring the craziest kills from the “Kill Count” collection will be a part of this competition such as Hack, The Grudge 3, and Night of the Creeps, among others. One participant per day who correctly answers the daily trivia question and submits an entry will be chosen at random to receive an appropriately frightful severed head prop.

Each film featured in the “Kill Count” collection will be preceded by a promo and faux ratings card detailing the killings in the movie that follows. Users will also be able to choose a film based on the number of kills and level of gore. The “Kill Count” collection of 30 movies, all horrifically uncut and unedited, includes:
