A Zombie Dawn is Coming Thanks to Eagle One Media

The enthralling Spanish language film Zombie Dawn has been picked up by Eagle One Media with plans for a 2012 release. The film, which was created by Christian Toledo and Lucio A. Rojas, takes a look at a military intervention in a zombie apocalypse. What is it about a zombie film by a guy named Lucio that gets me so excited?!

If you are unfamiliar with Zombie Dawn, scroll down and take a look at the very impressive trailer. (Keep in mind the film was made for $2,000; that’s less than what Dread Central paid for my bar bill at Rock and Shock.) Notice the details on the zombie kills. Really, really nice work.

Eagle One Media has acquired the worldwide rights to the Christian Toledo and Lucio A. Rojas feature-length production Zombie Dawn and plans a 2012 rollout release.

The action-packed Spanish language film, previously titled Blind Death, was produced by a group of talented filmmakers in Chile for a mere $2,000. The horror production represents a remarkable achievement in micro-budget filmmaking.

Synopsis:
2006. A mysterious incident at a remote mining facility unleashes a zombie horde with an appetite for human flesh. It decimates large portions of the cities and countryside. The only course of action is to rapidly enclose the infected areas and seal them off from the rest of the remaining, living population.

Now. 15 years later the tattered remains of the government and the mining corporation responsible for where the initial event took place commit themselves to finding out what may have happened at the mining complex. The solution is to covertly send a group of mercenaries and scientists into the quarantined zone to find answers.
