The only disadvantage to receiving an early screener of the first three episodes of “Dexter” is having to wait almost a month for something new, but finally on this coming Sunday, October 23rd, Episode 6.04 debuts, and we’ll be watching along with the rest of you. To help tide us over until then, we have the trailer and two clips that provide a sneak peek at what’s coming up.

Episode 6.04 “A Horse of a Different Color” (10/23/11 Air Date; 9:00-10:00 PM):
Much to his own surprise, an emergency with Harrison and a new tableau from Gellar (Edward James Olmos) and Travis (Colin Hanks) have Dexter (Michael C. Hall) leaning on Brother Sam (Mos Def) and an unexpected winged messenger for support as he questions the idea of faith. With proof of a religiously motivated killer, Homicide hunts for a zealot, with Debra (Jennifer Carpenter) giving her first official press conference.

The two clips are:

1. “Accept the Consequences” – Travis informs Professor Gellar that he has a date.

2. “Imagination” – Dexter finds himself at a bizarre crime scene.
