Can the man who created a brand-new “Battlestar Galactica” and in turn re-geekified a whole nation of kids to the show do one better than Carpenter?
Probably not, but that didn’t stop Universal Media Studios from handing over the reigns to the forever-in-development remake/sequel of The Thing to Ronald D. Moore. There’s a whole article in Daily Variety about the new gigs Moore is working on, which also include a sequel to I, Robot (wow, who the hell asked for that?), but the Thing project is never mentioned again. How annoying.
Hopefully the writer will have a good take on the body-jumping creature, but we’ll keep our ears to the ground (it’s sticky round here) and let you know more when we do.
Wonder if your co-workers are really alien duplicates in our forums!
