Can’t get enough of The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence? You may just be as sick as the new flick’s main character. Strap in, kids, for some more eye candy.

IFC has announced a limited theatrical release date of October 7th for the slithery little flick that’s destined to get under the skin of lots of people all over the world.

The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence tells the story of a man who becomes sexually obsessed with a DVD recording of the first film and who imagines putting the ‘centipede’ idea into practice. Unlike the first film, the sequel presents graphic images of sexual violence, forced defecation, and mutilation; and the viewer is invited to witness events from the perspective of the protagonist. Whereas in the first film the ‘centipede’ idea is presented as a revolting medical experiment, with the focus on whether the victims will be able to escape, this sequel presents the ‘centipede’ idea as the object of the protagonist’s depraved sexual fantasy.

The Grudge Reboot Adds Demian Bichir and John Cho

A week or so ago we let you guys know that the upcoming reboot of The Grudge was seeking to cast Andrea Riseborough (Mandy) as “a single mother who’s also a police detective.”

Today we have news that not only is Riseborough confirmed, but Demian Bichir (The Nun) has also joined the film, and as of today Variety reports that John Cho will be battling the curse too.

Both Bichir and Cho are solid actors so I’m actually looking forward to the film at this point. Especially considering it is being written and directed by Nicolas Pesce (The Eyes of My Mother).

Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert will produce the redux for Ghost House, with Nathan Kahane and Erin Westerman executive producing for Good Universe alongside Schuyler Weiss, Roy Lee, and Doug Davison. Romel Adam will oversee the movie for Ghost House and Brady Fujikawa for Good Universe.

The reboot begins shooting in May.

Not much else is known about the upcoming reboot at this point, but we will keep you guys posted. Until then let us know what you think of another The Grudge film below!

Ju-on: The Grudge Synopsis:
A mysterious and vengeful spirit marks and pursues anybody who dares enter the house in which it resides.

Bad Karma Awaits Tokyo in the Bizarre New Kaiju Flick The Great Buddha Arrival

Buddha is known for helping you arrive at enlightenment, but the only enlightenment The Great Buddha Arrival may be known for is the flaming of Tokyo as he cuts a path of destruction.

Japanese cinema is no stranger to stone statues coming to life and going on rampages. The classic Daimajin movies of the Sixties featured a giant stone samurai statue brought to life to punish corrupt shoguns during the medieval era. But a giant stone Buddha statue stomping Tokyo? This might be the strangest one yet – even for Japan. That’s saying something.

That’s the idea behind filmmaker Hiroto Yokohama’s forthcoming Japanese kaiju flick Daibutsu Kaikoju, aka The Great Buddha Arrival, in which a super-sized statue of The Great Buddha springs to life and stomps about Tokyo.

It might hard to believe, but Daibutsu Kaikoku is actually a remake of a 1934 film of the same name about a giant statue of The Great Buddha coming to life and wreaking havoc as it goes sightseeing in Japan before ascending to the heavens. Only a few promotional images exist of it as the film was lost forever during World War II.

The Great Buddha of the new film will be brought to life via 3D CG modeling based off a sculpture design created by renowned artist Keisuke Yoneyama, whom Guillermo del Toro is known to be a big fan of. Godzilla: Final Wars actors Yoshihiko Otsuki and Junichiro Nirasawa are set to star along with Kazuma Yoneyama and Japanese rapper Yuma.

The remake is being produced by the production company 3Y Film and partially via crowdfunding through May 31st (here’s how you can donate) with filming set to commence in August leading to The Great Buddha Arrival arriving in theaters in December. That sounds like a fast turnaround. Buddha must truly be divine.

Above you’ll find a teaser promo that takes teaser promos to a whole new level as it shows you absolutely nothing besides the side of a mountain. You’ll also see oodles of Daibutsu Kaikoku production art to give you a sense of the big buddha kaiju karma to come.
