Blumhouse Announces HAPPY DEATH DAY 2 Cast

Looks like Blumhouse is moving forward with their sequel to the hit teen slasher flick Happy Death Day. And today we have our first casting news!
Yes, Deadline reports that Jessica Rothe and Israel Broussard will be returning as Tree and Carter, along with new additions Suraj Sharma and Sarah Yarkin.
In Happy Death Day 2, Sharma will play Samar Ghosh, “a science enthusiast and geek who enjoys coding in his spare time” and Yarkin will play Dre Morgan, “a science geek and tom-boy with a sleepy feline gaze who is Samar’s partner-in-crime.”
I’m glad to see Jessica Rothe is returning for this sequel as it could have been very easy for Blumhouse to just go the cheap route and cast all-new unknowns for the film.

The original film was directed by Christopher Landon from a screenplay he wrote with Scott Lobdell. The film stars Jessica Rothe, Israel Broussard, Ruby Modine, Charles Aitken, and Rachel Matthews.
