BIFAN 2018: Official Posters See Freddy Krueger as a Dog Owner and It’s Adorable

The 2018 Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) has revealed the four official posters for their 22nd edition, which will take place in Bucheon, South Korea this July.
The posters were photographed by Lee Seunghee of Design Studio Propaganda and utilize an actual Freddy Krueger action figure whose head has been replaced by BIFAN’s symbol, the Cell of Fantasy. With these posters, “…thick fog and dreamlike lighting effects intensify the surreal atmosphere of fluctuating between dreams and reality, and the visuals create a sense of anticipation by capturing BIFAN’s theme of love, fantasy, and adventure.”
Not just paying homage to Wes Craven’s 1984 slasher classic A Nightmare on Elm Street, the posters are also a “…metaphorical reference to an iconic character from a film that will be shown in one of this year’s special programs“.
