Producer Monique Yamaguchi sent over word about a new web series she’s working on entitled “NYPDM” about a world where a pair of unusual detectives pull back the curtain of shadows and lies that surround the unnatural criminal underground of New York City. Check out the trailer and let us know what you think!
Along with Yamaguchi writer/director Hal Jordan, director of photography A. J. Raitano, and editor Ryan Cooper have created a world of supernatural mystery as seen by a unique group of New York City cops. This special unit possesses insight into a dark world where monsters are real and answers often lead to more questions.
Jilon VanOver stars as NYPD homicide detective Grimm, who finds himself unwittingly pulled into a dark, mysterious world. Looking for answers, he comes across a series of strange murders that may hold the key to finding out what happened to him. Janelle Giumarra co-stars as Andersen, a politically-minded detective working in the under-the-radar Special Cases Unit in NYC. In order to progress in her career, Andersen accepted the position, but due to the clandestine nature of her Unit, her ambitions have stalled. They are joined by Natalie Turpin as Spiller, the enigmatic head of the Special Cases Unit of NYC’s 27th Precinct. While she appears to be the youngest person to have ever attained the position of police lieutenant, her knowledge and contacts reach far and wide on both sides of the law.
