Will Director Andrew Stanton Return for STRANGER THINGS 3?

Monday we brought you the killer news that the third season of Netflix’s original series Stranger Things had begun filming and today we have more updates!

First off, the new season will run 8-episodes with producer Shawn Levy telling Collider Stranger Things 3 will be back down to the original season’s 8-episode run, following season two’s 10-episodes.

Levy also let us know if Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, Wall-E) will be back in the director’s chair this season…and it doesn’t look like it… Weak.

No, you know what,” Levy said. “We had some schedule issues trying to figure out how to bring Andrew back, because we were beyond thrilled with him as a human being and his episodes. So the only answer I can give you today is it’s not Stanton, though we very much hope to keep him in the director club of Stranger Things as we move on to other seasons.”

Stanton is one of my favorite directors so this news kinda bums me out. What do you think? Make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

Strangers Things seasons 1 & 2 are currently streaming on Netflix.
